Having been quoted between £125-£140 for a BF Goodrich All Terrain tyre at various main stream tyre dealers in Leicestershire, I tried the internet. Eventually bought one for £90.30p (inc postage) from: www.mytyres.co.uk
Ordered on the internet Sunday pm arrived Wednesday am. Will be fitted and balanced by local dealer tomorrow for £4.50p. They do various 4x4 and other car tyres at reasonable prices. Hope this is of some use to someone.
Cheers,
Watto. |

rather than start a new thread, i'll add to this one:
a thumbs up from me for sowden tyres. being on a tight budget, i had to go for as cheap as possible set of remoulds for my trooper. i got a set of colway ATs from sowdens for £39 each with next day delivery for... er... i think it was about another £15.
so far the new tyres seem sound. they've done a couple of hundred miles [a fair bit of it at motorway speeds] and havenae fallen apart yet! - and the guy who took my order over the phone was v. friendly and helpful.
so worth a mention, i think _________________ *************************** |

I've used them on my old Merc S classes, BMW 750 and 2 LSE Range Rovers. The RR ones were great , you could wiggle your fingers in the tread it was so deep. Rides smoothly, but less precise for the same reason though. Never had any shredding problems personally, and when you're tyres get slashed by living in Yarmouth, dodgy nail, or rock off road, then you don't feel you've just chucked £100 quid away.
The moment my monty tyres need doing, I'm straight off for another set !
Ps. I dont work for Colway |
