I may be wrong but I am pretty sure Isuzu uses OAT types of Coolant chemistry. If that's the case, try to avoid Traditional chemistry Coolant that's normally green in color. |

forgot this bit antifreeze also raises the boiling point of the water which is where the coolant bit comes in so it does really aid to being a better coolant than water |

Was just about to add this very point. Also a lot of modern coolants have additives in to aid heat transfer like this water wetter stuff. The addition of ethylene Glycol to engine coolant allowed high performance aircraft like the Spitfire to be produced in WWII with much smaller radiators than previously possible. _________________ Phil

The greater the temperature difference between the water and hot engine part, the better/faster the heat transfer ability. Coolant Chemical (CC) will will raise the boiling point of the water so reducing the temperature difference and thus reducing heat transfer ability/efficiency.
Yes, majority of the CC in market are green and that's why I said "normally". But I am pretty sure it's not the normal Traditional Green Coolant. |

Just fitted new rad, temp only goes to half now, haven't tried it towing yet though.
I'll keep my fingers crossed untill then
