[size=18]had trouble with my belts squeling on my 1994 3.1td no aircon
today ive struggled to get the alternater belt back on but think its ok ,

help needed released the 2 bolts on the front & the ajuster on the left
managed to get the power steering belt off .
but could i get the new one back on , ive tried everything  cut & full of oil & big time fed up
tried  a block of wood & pinch bars  , but didnt get much movement
my new belt looks the same size as old .

any great tips or help would be very helpfull
need my motor back on the road its my everyday transport .
please tell me if there is something ive missed .

cheers jonnie in shaw , oldham

If it's the same as the mk1 there are two bolts on the front to undo and one on the back which you may have missed.

When all three are slackened you can back the adjuster off (always seems to be the opposite direction than I think to slacken Rolling Eyes ) and away you go.
