Hi, as you have read from the title i have squeaky steering on my '96 3.1 LWB Citation. I have been told that it may the ball joint(s). Anybody else had the same problem and if so how much am i looking at to get it sorted, is it a big job?

Are they greasable, they are on the Mk 1 so it may just be that they are dry and need a few squirts of Multipurpose grease from a grease gun. Worht a look anyway

i had squeaking front suspension on a mk1 trooper. it turned out to be the top wishbone bushes worn thru to the metal - when i jacked it up you could rock the wheel 2 inches ! got the bushes from milner cheap, not easy to change. i don't think mk2 troopers have grease nipples on ball joints - the one i had didn't. get someone to rock the vehicle whilst you look- don't put your head between wheelarch/wheel though !!!
