it has done 120460 just bought it last week so do not know when the belt was changed or if it has been

If it was me i would change it. when done you can reset the warning light quote from another member

The light comes operates on a mileage basis, and is not an indication of the condition of the belt. If you are unsure of it's history , for peace of mind I would get it done. As timing belts go it is not a bad one, it depends on your mechanical aptitude, you wouldn't want to get it wrong.
