One would imagine it's the actuator or modulator which connects to and controls the wastegate, adjusting or taking out wear which would increase boost pressure. |

If I understand what you say in your 1st post, you already are increasing boost, by altering the wastegate. I would go careful if you are doing it by feel, it could get messy! Apart from risking over boosting it, I would imagine a change in fueling and intercooling may be necessary depending how far you go. Specialist stuff methinks. |

i have seen the results or should i say remains of a bighorn engine when someone actually blocked the pipe going to the waste gate off completely. it probably went quite well for a bit but then it blew it's oil out the head gasket as they were driving, they then ended up buying a new engine for it.
unless you know what your doing and got gauges to see what boost your running don't mess with it. |

i would be careful with the old washer tunning on the actuator.altthough it does let the boost run at a higher preasure my mate got carried away on his 3.0ltr supra turbo (10 washer's..... idiot) and blew his turbo (snapping all the vianes) costly mistake _________________ LTM NO.41 |
