eithan how often do they ask for a reflash of the ecu and would this effect mine . would they not have to remove the chip and reprogram it ?

hi all i'm also thinking of getting my 3.0td chipped but hav also seen some self fit digital tunning boxses on internet
claiming to give sane power increase (159ps-192ps) and 300lb torque, has anyone had 1 fitted or could advise
me on which is best plus the boxes cost a fraction of the price hav seen 1 from logic for £300 inc vat with 3yr warranty

Chris has a tunit box and it gave him loads of power,, but the engine ran like a dog at lower revs so he removed it quick style.
I'm with the leave well alone party.

TUNIT ... not good reports from me... power increase was great but it creates a really annoying misfire that appears between 1800-2800 rpm... just were ya need the power  Rolling Eyes

You cannot software remapp the 3.0td as easy as others - to do these you need a soldering iron and you take the chip out - which causes obvious damage to the casing - this is what put me off
