Having spoken to a few people I have learnt that it is common practice.  No so mad about it now.  But  a bit of communication from the dealer would have been appreciated.

My man actually spoke to the mechanic's Mum about our car outside her house and she was quite aggressive and stated that the car was not performing properly which is why her son had left it at her house.  Have heard nothing from the dealer this morning...

yipee my trooper was ready for pick up all shiney with new engine.  Drove to Cardiff to see Police gig and it broke down - stalled, hot engine, crunching noises.  Towed back to dealer who was not happy to see it.  Another wait to see what is wrong with my beast.  Am considering taking it to the Cotswold dealer who I have spoken to and are lovely friendly helpful people - refreshing.

Given the troubles you have had ... and the impeccable reputation of Cotswolds - I would be switching dealers! It may cost a little to have it transported but put that against the better service?
