Hi all
just had my 02 3.0td serviced by Heritage in leicester (dealer) who added part number;893565 (diesel additive) as a precaution due to all the issues with injectors etc.... Question They have never done this before (i always get trooper serviced by them) and im wondering if you guys have had this as a service item or use it yourselves?
nb service was 54k one.

Tommo

i thought so...maybe it`s simply to get another £13 out of a already stiff service charge.
i would be interested in whether anyone else who uses main dealers have had the same included in their service!!!
Maybe the little extra is to pay for the works xmas party Twisted Evil

think you've had your leg lifted on this one, whats the point of using it once every 6k miles or 12 months surely you would have to use it every tankful or so.

Some additives have a cetane booster in them which acts much like an octane booster in a petrol and is supposed to give you more power.  It sounds like this has this but yes it appears to be mainly an injector cleaner.
