*beep*!!!!! what do you advise i do? really can't afford a garage( got quoted £300 for labour alone!!!) and i've never replaced a head gasket before!!!

Lol!!! sorry!! thanks for that!!! a little nervous about doing it but hay, gotto learn!!! and in this weather too!!!! just 1 question, what is the best way to sort the oil out that has water in it? case of just doing a filter and oil change? or do i flush it with something???

Until someone else says different.

I would bang some oil in run it for a minute, drop the oil then change the filter and refill.

Is it badly emulsified?

hi mate!! it's strange, got drops of water on my dipstick and that lovely thick gloop but couldn't see any white in it(did check it when it was warm mind!) i've still got the old oil from the last service, can i flush it through with that?cheers!!!

Could do though clean oil would do a better job. But if there is allot of water in there it is a good idea to put the real old stuff through first Very Happy

I'd just get down your local car spares place and buy six litres of el cheapo diesel spec oil of the right grade and run that to flush it, its not like its going to be in their long is it?  I'd maybe also stick with that for a second short oil change after a few hundred miles.
