Most likely to be one of two things... either the Oil Pressure Sensor in the Oil rail or a blocked/broken oil strainer in the sump. The Sensor needs an Isuzu Tech2 conmputer to diagnose... however the oil strainer can be tested at home. Top the oil up to the max level (using 5w30 oil) then add an additional 2 litres... if it starts then you need the strainer replacing with the modified type. (dont forget to drain 2 litres back out tho!) _________________ Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max LE | 265/65R18 BF Goodrich AT LTM No.60

If it needs its recalls doing then why not have the dealers check both out? _________________ Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max LE | 265/65R18 BF Goodrich AT LTM No.60

Milners do a tank now. not sure if it fits the 3.0 though.
when i got one for mine (3.1) from the dealer it was around the £360 mark (milners didn't do one then ) _________________

I had the same problem, I cut off the existing corroded pipe work then cut up an old sender unit and brazed the 2 90 degree pipes to the trooper tank. Worked a treat.
Kind Regards, Derek Findlay Aberdeenshire. |
