before i ask i would like to point out i have searched on the fiat site and to be honest its not upto the standard of this site i have also tried searching elsewhere but come up with nothing but pay this pay that second sorry if posted in wrong section
right the missus has just past her test and is now another fxxxxxg lady driver on the road not all are bad just 99.9% and i got a feeling my missus is going to make it 100% lol hope to god she doesnt see this any how back to me question she has factory fitted blaunkpoint radio which has locked up on her we didnt know the code treid a few and now its locked ie doesnt give u the optin any more to enter code just says wait i have treid leaving it on for 1hr 2 hrs ect and have diconnected battery for 24hr to be greeted with wait
now i know it needs to be reset but how is it done, i want to know how its done i know you can pay some one to do it but i like to play and believe it maybe something to do with eeprom does anyone out there know about these things would they mind explaining to me i have a toys if it is eeprom/pic related or any info at all on this subject thanks |

If she's anything like my mrs, it may not be a bad thing to not have a radio while she's driving - one less thing to concentrate on LOL.
Seriously though, all eeproms are resettable. It depends on what particular one it is though, but most require a 0V input onto one of the legs - again which leg depends on the type of eeprom.
eeprom stands for electrically eraseable programmable read only memory. If you can find the chip number off the top of the eeprom chip, I may be able to help. They are usually fairly easy to spot as they are usually larger than most chips. _________________ 94 Big Horn 3.1 Lotus Auto

right she's out galavanting at mo so when she comes back ill rip it out and get a look and then get back to you is there anywhere that u know of that i can read a litlle up about this info doesnt have to be for the right stereo just so i can like get my head round it, it takes a lot for it to sink into my head as the missus has it fxxxxd for the last 13 years thanks again |
