Greetings forum folk from down under, in the stinking hot summer here in Western Australia.    
Wondering whether any of you good folk have had to deal with leaking at front of your engines. It appears to be at about sump or front seal area.There is a plastic plate on the sump with foam spacer which is hiding where the leak is actually originating from. I was hoping in vain it was just accumulated degreaser behind that plate but short drives seem to indicate it's either blowing or weeping from somewhere. My questions are ( no w/shop manual available )
What is the plastic cover for, just protection.
Can I remove it safely to inspect the source of the leak.
Are there any other causes likely through your experiences.
I know just by looking it will be a big job whichever way, but do you have any tricks to share or precautionary advice.
Specialist tools required ?
Can you recommend a place to source a WShop Man.or CD of.
