dear jon willy it could be friends trotting the item up call me me scepictal if you like but the 3.0ltr has power to spare knowing the problems its hard to believe anyone wants to mess with this moter just my thoughts i may be wrong often are but dont think so Rolling Eyes

Hello Ian......... Not as far as know its only the motors that have chips with everything ...... I believe there is a certain amount of tweaking can be done though.

Well I for one certainly arn't brave enough. Polishing the rad cap is pushing it with these engines Laughing and as you say Frank the std power is almost too much for the handling, particularly if you can't resist having a pop at a Tart Cart (BMW X5) Wink

Well Boys!!

Frank is right as this is nearly 30% increase in power.............yes you sould easily get this out of the 3.0l......It is a very sophisticated engine..............However.....sophisticated it may be, strong it ain't and boosting the power will almost certainly increase the engine temperature as it will naturally be working harder, and we all know what heat does!!

I keep my engine below 2500 rpm on motorways in the hope of preserving it and that gives 70 mph.

Tuning?.......dont go there!!
