We own a 1981 2.8 SWB with rear lights - including no. plate lights - that sometimes don't work?
All other lights are ok - front, brake, fog and reversing lights.
I have checked fuse box and all seems ok - are their any other places to check before I give an open cheque to our local Auto Electrician!!!
Crying or Very sad

Yes, check the earthing on the lighting cluster. Mine was in a poor state, as were the lamp & bulb contacts as it seems to be in the line of fire for all the road muck & water. It is all down to dirty contacts I am afraid!
