Yes. The 2.5's an ace engine - BUUUTTTT if they go wrong they are a pig.  Far more refined than the 2.8 and plenty of power...

a decent 2.5 frontie - £1500 - £2000

Only buy it if it has tons of good dealer history. Probably the best engine they ever used just as long as it's looked after.

Great engines untill they go wrong as previously said.

Believe they suffer head gasket problems and turbo problems and have heard various ECU complaints!

According to Parkers Guide the towing weight is 2800kg... quite a bit lower than the Trooper/Bighorn at 3500kg
