The handbook said to run my old hilux in 4wd now and again to keep things ok , I haven`t got a book for the Rodeo, can anybody advise if your supposed to do the same ?

Can't hurt it - it's to make sure that the diff get's coated in oil, and nothing is siezing up - make sure you do it on loose ground though (not tarmac)

Don't drive it in 4WD on tarmac will wind the transfer box up and destroy the hubs! Would recommend using it now and then my self!
