Is there a thread with a complete 'shopping list' for fluid and filter changes on the various models?

Sorry. . had a quick search but got lazy so didn't get very far.

And I think I'm going to have to do a complete fluid and filter service (inc. diffs and manual 'box) on the 3.1 real soon. . . want to start getting all the necessaries so I can hit the whole lot in a single day.

Front and rear diffs 2L of oil a piece - rear specifically LSD oil if one fitted.

Gearbox - engine oil
Engine - err engine oil
Transferbox - engine oil

Air filter
Oil Filter
Diesel Fileter - Milners service pack Smile

Flush rad and put new anti freeze in
Top up batteries with distilled water
Renew brake and clutch fluid if you don't know how long since last done.

That should be a good starting point...

I know engine is 5.5L+ (6 with filter? ?) . .

Any ideas on quantities for the others?

The engine oil will be Vx semi-synth 10W40, is this ok for the diff(s)s and 'box?

Ah... hadn't considered brake and clutch fluid. . good call... even though I HATE anything to do with brake fluid  Evil or Very Mad

Can't remember what the 'boxes are, but I buy oil by the 20 / 25 L and have a 3L jug which I used to pour with. 10W40 sutiable for turbo diesel engines. 20l has enough oil in it to do an oil change twice and gear / transfer box change.

If your doing anything with break fluid have a watering can of water with you. Once your done and the caps are back on the resoviours, wash down with fresh water. Break fluid is hyrdoscopic and will wash straight on to the drive way, and stop it eating straight through your paint Wink (it takes overnight for the paint eating to happen Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy)

Oh of course remember to dispose of all the used fluids correctly.
