Im a new member been looking at your forum and have the same problem as some with my 3.1td 94 isuzu ive just bought. It doesnt like starting it turns over several times before start up then you sometimes have to keep your foot down to keep it running for several minutes before it will tick over. Then after driving for a short distance will cut out untill warm then its ok.It has done 200thousand admitted but when warm runs a treat.I am yet to change oil and filters but does this point to the fuel line or tank problem i keep seeing ? any suggestions greatly appreciated. As regards cutting out, i'd guess at fuel lines, they do corrode, and you could be sucking air in. But it wouldn't get better when warm, it'd be cutting out and coughing whether warm or cold.

Hello & welcome, could be fuel line's & at this age they are likley to be rusty, but it would be running badly even when hot, try replacing the glow plugs & checking the connections to the glow plugs, they can rust!
Try heating the engine two - three times before starting.
