WHEN I GO TO START MY TROOPER IN THE MORNING IT TAKES ABOUT 10 TO 15 TURNS TO START AS IF IT IS LACKING DIESEL.AFTER IT STARTS IT IS OK.
I THEN MABE GO TO THE SHOPS OR SOME WHERE. I SWITCH IT OFF NO MORE THAN 20 TO 25 MINITS I GO BACK TO IT AND TRY TO START IT,IT WILL TAKE ABOUT 5 TO 8 CRANKS AND SHE STARTS,MY MATE TOLD ME TO FIT A NONE RETURN VALVE TO THE FUEL LINE. WILL THIS DO ANY DAMAGE

CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ADVICE.

MY TROOPER IS THE CITATION 3.0TD LWB IT HAS 46000 MILES ON THE CLOCK AND YEAR IS A 2000

Do you have fully synthetic 5w30 oil in it and nothing else?

Have a read through the recall section of the forum - it's about the 2nd or 3rd one down on the main page.

The oil strainer is in the sump, there's a trick when you can add a couple of litres of oil in the sump, but have a read through the recal section first Wink

i have had a look and nothing seams to stand out at me,when my mate looked at it he is addiment that the car is sucking air from some whare as the engine when started judders slightly
