Hi,

I have a list of issues with my 99 Trooper and would be greatfull if sombody could help.

Can anyone tell me how difficult it would be to change a heater core?. Found coolant in the passenger footwell and strong smell of coolant through vents.
stopped the leak with Kseal (great product!), but coolant smell is still in vents,  worried about longer term.

Another problem I have is with the cold idle, fault only occurs after car left overnight , car starts, runs for 10 seconds then misses for approx 5 seconds, runs great after that.  Changed the fuel filter and this actually cured it for a while but fault has returned.

Finally...I have spotted what looks like oil in the header tank, can see no sign of it in the radiator, temp is correct and no issues with overheating, at last service oil was topped up to far would this have caused any damage?

Appreciate any any info on the above you can offer. Thanks.

Hi & Welcome!

Are you using 5w30 grade oil? If not change it asap and this should help with the cold starting. The 3.0 MUST use 5w30
