Anyone coverted a 3.5v6 to LPG? Mine's a bit thirstier than I expected

we had our 3.5swb converted in around '02 (i think)
the system we've got is a romano multi point. it cost just over 2k all in to be fitted by an lpga fitter. after some teething problems i can say we've never had any problems with it whatsoever.
we had to have an internal tank fitted (65l)
at the time of conversion we were spending up to £60 a week on petrol. this dropped to less than £30, but we were paying only 33-36pence p/l.
we now do a lot less miles and put in around £30 every 1.5-2 weeks.
on a good run (calais-lyon ) we've had 250 miles out of a tank of gas, but generally we consider anything between 180-200 to be the norm.

you can have a replacement tank put in place instead, which is split (if i remember correctly) 60/25l with the 60l being lpg. we decided against this tank at the time because if you were unable to source any lpg your 25l of petrol wouldn't get you very far.
however, with a lwb you can keep the original fuel tank AND have an underslung lpg tank too. best of both worlds!

My LWB 3.2 is a cut down petrol tank(takes about £16-17 to fill it) then an underslung 70Litre LPG tank which takes about 58-59 litres allowing for the float. In my opinion there is not enough room for a full tank and an lpg tank under there. You could also go for 2 tanks 1 underslung and one in the boot, or any where there is a space you can have smaller 30-40 litre tanks installed(connected to main tank).

just bought an older one with split tanks, the smaller tank would realistically get you 100 miles or so. Or if you cant find a filling station for gas keep topping up every 60-70 miles!

If you go underslung which is better, try getting twins that fit down each side as they are more out of the way. This one has a large one underside but it does hang low! Major armour needed! lol!
