Usually just follow the top rad hose back to the stat housing.  It will have a couple of sensors sticking out of it.

Almost there Phil... you do follow the top hose from the rad back to the block and there is sits... two 12mm bolts and out it comes. The 3.0 doesnt have any sensors in the housing tho. The T-stat is different from the 2.8/3.1 stat's ... make sure the auto factors pick the correct one.

Found the stat housing at the end of top hose (engine end) and there appears to be some sort of sensor coming from it just below were the housing splits ,plug with two wires ???

they won't interfere with removal though so should be O K.

do you know what temp the stat should have stamped on it ,auto factors very dodgy

I meant there isnt any sensors on top of the housing... Embarassed  but then if I didnt type it then you wouldnt know  Rolling Eyes  Embarassed  Embarassed

The stat should start to open at 85 degree's and be fully open by 100 degrees.
