help please - vehicle booked for next week to have recall work on injectors done - the engine is now blowing such large amounts of whitish grey smoke and lacks power that I can't possibly drive it to Robinsons in Rochdale.
whats the cause of the engine problems? and anyone recommend a car delivery firm as Isuzu refuse to pay for recovery of the vehicle. _________________ 2001 Isuzu Citation Trooper

Try Isuzu UK - if your unable to drive due to a defect which is because of a known fault for which there is a recall - I can't see how they can refuse to pay?? _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

have you got break down cover? If so drive it as far as you can and then call your break down service and ask them to recover you to the dealer? _________________ 3.0TD LWB Citation |

guy off eebuygum will take it from merseyside to Rochdale for £70 which in my position is not bad - may try and get my money back if it turns out that all the smoke etc is associated with the injectors. _________________ 2001 Isuzu Citation Trooper

I'm not sure how that would stand in court - 'goodwill' for a recall ?? _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

while I was impresssed that they would still honour the recall on a vehicle 7 years old I'm afraid that seems the limit of their goodwill in this instance - I tried shaming them etc to no avail - not sure what will happen if there is any consequencial damage - they argued there won't be any and that the smoke and lack of power was not symptomatic of the injector recall. _________________ 2001 Isuzu Citation Trooper

they got a point there the recall is to stop the diesel going in to the sump which won't cause smoke or lack of power, you only find out when the engine revs up on it's own accord. |

and yet when I described the smoke etc to the dealer he was confident it was the injectors - so we wait and see. _________________ 2001 Isuzu Citation Trooper

blown engine is good as they are paying for them to be replaced if it can be put down to injectors going wrong if it's a turbo then you will have to pay |
