Well, Matski Madmike K.Goodwin and myself went laning in the peaks today... hummm  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

First lane was chinley steps -- Keith and myself got up without any issues (although I'm starting to dislike mud tyres on rock), then madmike dumped a sump of oil  Shocked half way up -- not good - so with a combination of keiths towing mine towing mikes me managed to pull him up to the top - now that was something to see.  Mike waited to get recovered by the RAC whilst we went to Chaplegate, which is about 100m up from the end of chinley. Nice start, really cool lane... then the side slopes start - DO NOT take a vehicle down there and expect the paint work to be the same afterwards.  Great fun though -- Scratched and dented the side of the monterey in the process.

Popped up over to pindale quarry - took my monterey and keiths trooper over the impassable hill Wink the LSD makes all the difference -- matt was unable to get over in his  Laughing  Laughing

Then over to another quick (5 mins) lane to get covered in mud before heading home....

Damage report :-

Matski > Little low on oil, nothing much though
Keith > Snapped rear anti roll bar, pulled off rear mud flap, half pulled off wheel arch extender, lot of oil around rear diff.
Mike > Auto locking hubs not locking, sump dumped oil - no known reason yet, although a lump of metal found on floor -- looks cast  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked
Me > Paint work removed from passener side, rear mud guard hanging off, rear bumper hanging off, few dents on passenger side, glass scratched on passenger windows  Shocked

An expensive day - but fun Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

There will be photo's and vids to follow Wink and no doubt some other comments Wink

Hay! I was low on oil when I got there this morning!

It should read..

Matski > None tongue  Laughing

Was an interesting day I loved Chaplegate Twisted Evil  my new favorite lane. But Chris is right you can do some real panel damage, I didn't in part due to my wheels sticking so far out the side Wink The side slope is so bad that you slide sideways (on muds anyway) into a 5 foot bang that has been carved out by landys Laughing

err and a monterey Wink

Chaplegate is an ace lane though - I'm going back with a vegance with the little un Wink

can't cry about the damage to the monterey though - if I'd scraped it on the school run or in a supermarket that's one thing - but I bought it for going off road, so take the rough with the smooth I suppose Wink   I've had a look just now, and it's a few BIG scratches, but it could be a lot worse, I was resting against the side of the body and dragging it down a bank... Here is the first of the remaining three on chapelgate.

Here is one of mine on a cross axle Laughing

And here is a rear view. There is buckets or droop left in the +2" shocks so I need to get some flexy shackles made up when I get a new welder.

Here is Chris on the first side slope.

And on the one that did the damage (post damage)
