Lo Peeps

Have a 3.0L TD non starter. I've lost glowplug light, ecm light and oil light.

I tried vehicle diagnostic tool but it would not communicate with ecm.

Looking for info if anyone can help re pin data or possible cause.

Cheers

In a bit

Is it spinning over on the starter? Also are you running on 5w30 grade oil? (if not change the oil asap)

Assuming its spinning over it could be one of a few things... Oil Strainer/Pickup pipe, Oil Rail Pressure Sensor or other electrickery.

To check the oil pickup pipe try filling the oil to the max then adding a further two litres (using 5w30 grade fully synthetic). try firing it up ... if it works then the strainer in the sump is blocked/broken and needs replacing. If not - drain the extra oil out and its onto the next on the list.

Thanx for your speedy reply.

Have tried changing the oil and adding extra oil to no avail. the engine is turning over but nothing more and no dash lights are present.

i will take a look at Oil Rail Pressure Sensor and see if that is the offending item next.

cheers again

The only way to have this checked is to use the TECH2 computer at the main dealers.
