I put a new water pump on this last weekend and it leaks when you first start up the vehicle.  Well I assume that it is leaking from there as I can't really see where it is coming from.  It does it for about 20 seconds then it is done.  You can drive it around after that and it won't leak again.  Sometimes it doesn't leak on startup either.  Has anyone ever had this problem and if so does it go away or do I need to change it out again?  The instructions that came with the pump says that this might happen.   Evil or Very Mad

I replaced the water pump again today.  This time I bought it from NAPA.  We will see in the morning if it leaks, as it has leaked after sitting for about 8 hours.

Holy *beep* Chappy....... now I am beginning to see your frustration. I didn't catch this thread being bumped. I guess hind sight is always 20 / 20, but, I can honestly say if I have to practically go ‘into’ the engine to do something, I would definitely have been installing NAPA's offering (or better) from the get go. Heck, she should be good for another 100k miles though, as long as pump #2 within a couple of weeks is doing well now.  Sad
