This should help it's just a matter of getting under the car removing a gromet from behind the hub and winding a plastic cog out.

Oh BTW if you didn't know your brakes are disc all round BUT in the middle of the rear disc is a hub assembly for your handbrake shoe's Wink

The handbrakes are dead easy on the troopers, just clean them out, make sure everything moves, take that lip of the inside of the drum / disk with a file, and adjust them right up so they just slide on. Make sure you do both sides though.

Change MOT place as well. Sills are not an MOT issue with a car with a seperate chassis as far as I'm aware.

Bump stops not needed for the mot. corroded sills all depends where it is, within 30 cm of seat belt/seat mounts, body mounts, or if causes sharp edges that could cause injury.
handbrake i'd go with the strip down, clean out and make sure all bits that should move do, make sure handbrake cables are free and of course make sure plenty material left on the shoes.
get it through the test and do the fuel pipes before they go and draw air in, besides fuel not cheap don't wanna leak it all over the road!!

The main adjuster is in the drum, if that is tight, then adjust up the cable, don't do the cable first else brake failure is luming... Sad it's possible to over ride the main adjusters with the cable.

As gary says, take everything apart in the drum, clean with a wire brush, and make sure that everything moves as it should. If you've never played with the handbrake before, either take a photo or draw a picture of how all the springs go to gether, and YES they are a *beep* to get back on Very Happy
