Why do I get three little o-rings with every Boshi oil filter I buy ?

A copper washer for the sump plug, I can see the logic in that, but not these three little rubber o-rings, especially in three different sizes.

3.1TD if it makes any difference.

The 2.8 had these because it had a drain plug next to the filter as the filter was screw end down and because of the layout was left full of oil even after the sump was drained.  You undid the plug and drained the last bit of oil out and the three o rings were seals on the plug.  I guess they're in the filter for the 3.1 as other applications may need them.

The plug had the big O ring behind the nut, the second one after it stepped down to a smaller diameter and the final one after another step down on the end, quite why it needed to be that shape I have no idea.

Nice - as I've got a 3.1 I can stick 'em in the pile of spare o-rings - that is growing at quite a rate  Shocked
