Well the plans for Sat the 28th of June to meet up in Chapple en le Frith then drive down Chaplegate, get to the bottom and try driving back up again
Once this has been completed possible a quick run up Stanage (I'll confirm if stanage can be driven 'up' before the drive) and back down in the dark (with maybe a break in the fox house pub waiting for it to get dark
The list has been confirmed as
1/ dxmedia
2/ Paul Higgi
3/ K Goodwin
4/ thecraig
5/ :::matski:::
6/ madmike
7/ Twister - unconfirmed but shown interest in the past
8/ Siweb - Passenger
9/ Gary820
If anyone wants to be on a 'stand by list' in case any names drop out, add them to this thread.
Sorry there can't be too many vehicles going since it's going to take most of the day to do the one lane, and 8 can be split into 2 groups of 4 with a few minutes between.
There is very high potential of panel damage, stock vehicles probably won't make it. Recovery gear IS going to be needed and inclometers are going to be giving some hairy readings _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

Hey guys, that's a definite yes from me .
Just so I'm 100% certain which lane you are referring to when you say Chapel Gate, can anyone give me the OS grid ref(s) of both ends, as if it is the one I think it is, then there's another good lane less than a mile away from the top end of it. There is also a gentle but quite scenic lane not far from the top of Stanage edge.
Just thinking I could put a "roadbook" together and make a full day of it. ( Just in case we make Chapel Gate look easy )
Got some incentive to get that body lift fitted now _________________

can't wait to see what it's capable of properly, think i might have a little outing somewhere beforehand to make sure everything is set up and all the little faults are sorted, best refit the engine/gearbox armour too!!! _________________ landcruiser 80 series 4.5, 35's/33's for road, 2inch lift, discreet winch, sliders/armour, factory lockers, stainless side exit +++++ |

Tis the one I thought. There's also a lane that comes out onto the main road about 100 yards before it. Starts between the houses just under the railway bridge in Chinley.
Starts here
(Turn right at the T junction at the top)
Comes out here
You probably already know it, just thought it would do as a "warm up" . _________________
