If you greenlane the club scheme doesn't cover you iirc. Adrian Flux is a good bet and pretty cheap Wink

Off road is NOT green lanes as they are classed as roads and you need tax,mot and good old insurance.

They are classed as byways not highways - totally different. Don't you recall the lengthy thread where people were checking and being quite upset. The club scheme, privalage, tescos... all not insuring on byways.

I have been with Adrian Flux for years, i've just insured both my Troopers for £300, they are always one of the cheapest and you can get a quote lower if you Haggle with them, i dont know what they are like at "pay out time" you do get what you pay for.
They get my money though  because i've never had much hassle.

Adrian Flux are brilliant come claim time! My boy was hit by some lowlife who gave false details but through their FREE legal deal they tracked him down and processed the claim against him DIRECT rather than through my boy's own policy, thus preserving his no-claims history.

My wife had a little problem on her Corsa and I told her to "run it into the garage" so I could have a look at it. She took me literally - stuffed it straight into the pillar between the two garage doors! Claim progressed and settled immediately with no hassle or argument and they then somehow shuffled my policies around to see to it I didn't lose any No Claims through it.

They're excellent.

Worth checking confused.com and/or other sites at renewal time because they'll always beat a better quote.

Don't quite get your point, dxm.........

If they pay to be on confused.com why would they often be cheaper as well? I mean to say that last time I renewed my Trooper I found something a good bit cheaper than AF were asking for my renewal, but when I challenged them with it they undercut that by a chunk as well.

Do you notice that there's only a set number of companies which come up - they are the ones who pay confused.com to be on the search... I think it's admiral or someone who refuse to pay, and they are quite cheap though - but your right about haggling with AF - they is alreet - and if it means anything to anyone - all their call centres are uk based  Confused
