New Bighorn owner here - lots of phonecalls and enquiries trying to get insurance at a reasonable rate - Could have saved a lot of time if I had stuck to the first and lowest quote from the Club Scheme! A pleasure to deal with! 45% cheaper than Tescos, 40% cheaper than Adrian Flux. No big deal with 2 x SP30's and a couple of claims under a protected no-claims scheme.
Thank you Gary |

Got my renewal notice from admiral for the pricey sum of £560 due to them add 23% for monthly payments. thought that was a bit high as I have 4yr NCB and am 27 years old. So I had a look though confused web search and found much the same quote the cheaper ones had hidden costs like legal cover was extra and so on. Last chance had a look on the forum got the number and contacted them. Well everything’s included as standard and I can drive any vehicle on 3rd party (which is not usually given to people in the motor trade) it came to 460 that amazed me as I have a higher cover for one hundred pounds cheaper well happy _________________ Lotus Bighorn 3.1td

Tried it today, but it didn't work for me. Nearly 3 times my current lowest quote for the same policy.
Never mind maybe better luck next time. _________________ Isuzu Trooper SWB 3.0DT Commercial |

It took me a couple of goes too, but it's not a big company. It is worth persevering though - believe me..... _________________ 1999 Cougar with a NICE motor..

Club Scheme - have used them previously as they have anumber of club schemes. I wouldn't rate their customer service as the best - they never ring you back when promised and the patter can be a bit pushy.
That said, cheapest quote for my 2000 3.0 Commercial by about £200 - BUT only after I rang back and hassled Gary - I traded in a Pajero and the premium doubled from that to the Trooper. However, after asking a few questions (mainly "why?"!!) I got to speak to Gary who looked at some other options and put me on a commercial policy (even though it's private vehicle) and the quote plummeted. GOod value breakdown and no premium for paying on a credit card (but watch their direct debit charges - APR of something like 30%). |

Cheaper again on the renewal and Gary did help when I started over with zero NCB owing to it being transferred to another vehicle, so it's at or slightly below £200 fully comp now which is the cheapest ever quote I have received in 4 years....
Agree with comments regarding communication though..... _________________ 1999 Cougar with a NICE motor..

Try ringing them ...
I know they give highest priority to 'phone calls - it's So much better dealing with a real person :

I've gone with the club insurance again for the 3rd year.... This time tho got it for £270 full comp with offroad cover, 5000 miles per year.
Went for 5000 just to be on the safe side... _________________

Well tried the club scheme for my rodeo today and is nearly £150 dearer than best price, also tried adrian flux and that was £200 dearer as my existing insures put my premuim up by £220 this year got my best price from yes car insurance only £400 for my 2 yo rodeo with business use ave 25k miles a year for a 27 year old aswell.
The best thing to come got a quote from exisiting insurer online and beat renewal price by £120 will be having and interesting conversation with them tomorrow. |
