serviced the trooper today doing really well engine oil rear dif / gearbox /transfer box/  
untill greasing nipples on propshaft done all but 2 couldent get the grease gun to come of the third tried everything anyway ended up breakin it sorted now though
any to the point
in my owners manuel it seems to suggest a seperate unit to the front diff  carnt find it or am i been thick and it part of the diff filler nut wont budge on front diff  didint try the drain plug left it to soak in easing oil   confused by this shift on the fly though

the shift on the fly unit has its own oil the drain is at the front (cover needs to be removed )
the filler is at the back if you use a light and look behind the unit you will seethe filler plug up the top

i will try that tomorrow starting to wonder if ive got shift on the fly but must have goes in to 4wd with a button on the dash

If yours is a mk4 auto it could have Torque on demand rather than shift on the fly,, there would be a light up thing saying where the power is going rather than just a 4x4 light.
