I agree - I used to run XP fine on a P3 550mhz laptop with 256 meg of ram... lol back in the day...

Windows 2K is the MOST stable OS M$ have ever released though - that'll run on a 250Mhz up with no problems.

Ray,

If you have a CD burner, I can dig out a link for downloading a copy of ME - it's totally legal downloading windows operating systems, it's the licence key you pay money for not the software.

I do have a CD burner on this computer.. i would be greatfull if you could forward the link.
thanks

Ray, are you sure you want ME?  I'd really really strongly suggest either XP or 2K, either way, if you can wait until tomorrow I'll have a copy on my own server which you can download (I'll pm you a link). If you want a different version let me know and I'll give you a different link. If you could please download it during the day though whilst I'm at work?  Just means that I'll still have an internet connection when I get home in the evening.

That it is, but all due respect for Ray for having a pop at reinstalling rather than just taking it to pc world or somewhere...

Sounds like an old laptop, and if he's the drivers for ME, saves the hassle of looking around for 98 drivers Very Happy
