when it dose start it wont idle! runs ruff and seems under powerd also fumes that make your eyes sting come in from the exhaust (wich has got some holes)
Changed leads and plugs oil and oil filter plus air filter no difrence.

It've overfuelling by the sound of it, either kackered injectors or possibly a very knackered lambda sensor?
It's def got petrol in the tank and not diesel has it? _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

Yes it defontly is petrol in the tank.
The 4x4 has been converted to gas as well and runs the same on gas as on petrol (not verry well)
dose this meen that it is the lambada sencer?. |

runs both the same on lpg and gass? humm, wouldn't have thought it was lambda then, that triggers the ECU for the petrol side of things, lpg is adjusted at the vaporiser I belive (don't know much about lpg)
Is it using any water or other fluids? _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

can you give us any more info? it may be a coinsidence that on petrol and lpg it is running ruff. i know with lpg the electrical side of things has to be A1 . have you changed the air filter? fuel filter?. have you checked for splits in the pipes on the lpg system? are you having any back fire on lpg or petrol? when was the timing done last? _________________ presumption is the mother of all f**kups |

The only other info i can give you is that it has been slowley getting worse over the last six mounths. Started out some times stalling at traffic lights etc but now well what can i say its as if its got a valve out at low revs wich disapers over 3000rpm but still seams like its under powerd
It looses no water i never have to top up the oil.
I have changed the air filter, and checked for gas leaks no leaks! looked at the cap and roter arm all looks fine!.
I marked up the distrubiter with tipex and tryed moving it a little each way but made no diffrence.
its like its running verry lean wich would explaine the toxic exhaust fumes but seams to have no co adjustment. |

sounds like it might be lambda still?? don't know if this will have an effect on the lpg system. Might be worth waiting for some of the petrol guys to come on later?
If it runs fine over 3K, sounds like its' running very lean. The problem if it was either one or the other (lpg / petrol) it should be quite simple to work out - being both, it's sounding like more of a mechanical problem. _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

Have you got access to a pressure tester and check the cylinders for bad valve / rings? _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

UMM maybe, it just seems like the engine is a bit young to be suffering with valve or piston problems! dont you think?
But then again running on gas maybe damages the engine more quickley? i dont know but i can tell you that there is no blue smoke.
Normaly i would have no problems getting hold of a compression tester or even a good mechanic to look at the 4x4 but because i currently live in Bulgaria its not so easy. As you can imagine lots of back street garages, don't quite know who to trust.
Petrol guy's?
sorry i'm new round here who are these? |

I take it you've tried the simple and made sure it's running on 4 OK - not a broken down HT lead or a dogey plug is it? _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

Went to a garage today reckomended by a mate out here! at first the machinac (old boy) did'nt want to know kept saying it needed to go on a computer!
But after haning around and generley making a nuwsence of my self he had a look.
This is what he found no 1 cylinder 5 somthing im not sure psi?
no 2 cylinder 3
no 3 cylinder 3
no 4 cylinder almost nouthing
Aprantly they should all be about 9/10.
The man couldent belive the 4x4 could even run (says some thing for isuzu)
anyway says the reason for this is burnt out valvs due to running on gas SO DONT GET YOUR CAR CONVERTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The gas burns to hot and has no oil un like petrol. I only had the 4x4 converted at 85000 km and its now got 1200000 do the maths it ends up costing a lot more in the long run!! Thanks for all your help ill let you know what its like when i get it back. |

It's a bad conversion then - LPG increases the lift expetancy of engines due to being cleaner combusion and less soot going through the head. _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :
