As long as there are no exposed sharp edges, the wheels have guards which cover the width of the wheel, and the lights are in the correct position then you 'should' have no issues.

Have a look on the landy forums and see if they can offer any dimentional advise, or have a word with an MOT tester (I usually phone my local testing place if Ive any questions)

There's nothing really special about a tray back which should cause any issues at MOT time.

richard,is it as bad as you feared for the rust situation ? i am not a disco fan but i love the old range rovers. i almost bought a 3.9 brooklands on an l reg ,it looked the nuts. and as a project like your self it would have been ideal but i need reliability so i went with the bighorn as the motor is for work ect

Yeah - there's a few points which go... check around all of the seat belt mounting points as well, there's a few nooks which seem to attract a little bit of the tin worm  Laughing Are you planning on plating over the back end if your traybacking?  You'll loose a huge amount of ridgidity in the body by the way, a full cage would probably before you take it off road - if it goes over you'll have a hell of a headache Wink
