Surprised how easy it was in the end thanks to boritz for putting the pics on this website, and the website being here better than spending money on a manual any day, stood looking at the lens but it would'nt register but thinking about the website did.  Again thanks boritz... Wink

Bought myself an Insignia last Saturday, had a side light out, couldn't see how to get the pod out.
Read this last night, fixed the light tonight, happy days.

Here I am, in September 2011, trying to change a side lamp bulb for the first time since I bought the Trooper new in April 2000 !! (so the bulb has lasted 11 years !!!). I removed the top screw, and could see the lamp assembly was still attached...but how to take it apart without removing the headlamp?? !!!
So very many thanks Boritz, for your clear explanation and photos, I could see the plastic assembly between the side lamp assembly and the body, but could not see how it is joined, or how best to get at it !! Will now have another go !!
By the way, why is it called a "Clarence" lamp in my works manual , who or what gave a sidelamp that name ????
Cheers

That would be a typo for 'clearance'  Laughing

The pics made the work easy. A good one. I appreciate your work. It makes every one easy to have it installed by them.
