I didnt notice the difference at first, it must be a gradual thing as it cleans the injectors etc aswell, but when I got in the next day it was very noticable  Very Happy
Not cheap though  Crying or Very sad
£12 worth does 500 litres of fuel unless you double the amount  Laughing

Thats it, i'm using it all the time, I thought it may be a placebo effect but I took one of the kids out earlier (who didnt know)
And he asked why the car was quieter  Very Happy
Doing some research and found that Diesel is roughly 51 cetane, bio 53 cetane and this stuf raises that by 4, the 3.1 needs 49 or above to run properly.

From BP

Quote:
BP Ultimate Diesel has a cetane number of 55 minimum, significantly higher than the standard 51 cetane for diesel fuels in this market. This improved cetane quality means that BP Ultimate Diesel burns more smoothly and completely than ordinary diesel, so it can help deliver improved performance and better fuel economy, and reduce exhaust emissions and engine noise.

So if added to standard Diesel you get the equivelent of BP ultimate  Very Happy
Added to Bio and you get super fuel  Laughing

What are you using Mark? I've been using the Millers stuff, and convinced it's improved performance, noise and smoothness.

I have been using Millers and am totally convinced that there is more power and it runs smoother.
Will continue to use it

So what could this do for me running 40% veggie oil?
The vegie oil quietens the engine and gives it more power, but surley i have lowered the cetane by adding veggie oil? Could this stuff improve on that? If so, where do you get it from?

Cheers

Most motor factors, even Halfords. Not sure, but is some of this alternative fuel higher in cetane anyway?
