it's also by the by, but for anyone just wanting to 'use' their PC - http://www.ubuntu.com - there's NO virus's or spyware for linux, it's free, and it's sooooOOOOOoooo much better than windows in every way.

Almost true ...

you can get 'rootkits' specifically aimed at Linux / Unix OS ...

pretty much the same thing as a virus ...

I would agree though ... because of the way that everything to do with Microsoft seems to be a target for malicious hackers, Linux/Unix & Mac based systems are FAR less likely to be subject to attack Cool

You been looking at a 'mens site'. XP2008 is a virus . Download Sygate firewall, it is FREE from the Sygate website and stops everything. You switch off the MS version.

What is Antivirus XP 2008
Antivirus XP2008, is a rogue Antispyware program, whose primary aim is to rob of your money. Once Antivirus XP2008 comes in contact with your system, it starts displaying fake security warning that your system is infected with multiple instances of malware and spyware.

Thus Antivirus XP2008 tries to create a panic about your system. If you fall in its trap, it offers you to clean your system if you purchase the full licensed version of Antivirus XP2008. The software piece, which you get in return is full of *beep* and it tries to install more malware onto your syste.

If you have got any trace of Antivirus XP2008 on your system, it is recommended that you take immediate steps towards the removal of Antivirus XP2008 from your system.

The first step towards the removal of Antivirus XP2008 is to determine that your system is actually infected with Antivirus XP2008 or not. For this, you can use any good quality anti-spyware, many of which are freely available on Internet.
