Simon,
I am sure you considered PAYPAL as a method of quick painless payment.
If you dont mind me asking why did you not use it.

I do ...

but, because you have to tie-in your paypal account with a bank account etc, I only have the one paypal account for club stuff ...

admin@pocuk.com

Thing is ... while the paypal donations effectively go into 'one big pot', I can see people in (say) ITOC might (wrongly. but understandably), be a bit twitchy paying in to the 'POCUK paypal account' Rolling Eyes

Paypal payments, you can now mark as a 'gift' - which means you don't pay any fees, I don't get charged any Wink

i have only just found this subject although have been a member since getting my trooper back in may, in that short time, me been a 3.0 ltr mk4 owner you can not believe the money this site has saved me, first of all i bought a car which i believed had a minor fault with the throttle body (adv by previous owner) not knowing about these cars believed him, it turned out was injector problem and was getting diesel in oil, (old topic i know) but been new to isuzu troopers i had no idea, in short my car got new injectors in may foc, then my engine went boom in oct. due to the knowledge gained from this site i got new engine fitted foc to a total cost of over 12k amazing on a car which never cost me anywhere near that.

anyway what i am meaning to say is i have absolutly no prob donating and will do so when i next get paid, hows best to do it life time member or just donation, cos i for one hope to keep my trooper running, i have always planned to take it on an expedition one day so have no problem in putting my hand into my pocket

As a new member and reading the items on members, donate if they wish to. Would it be usefull to set up a P O Box number so that donations could be posted to the box and delt with to help with cost of server, and all members need to do is post it with there membership number attached. That way it could allow the site to continue. Ps the imformation is worth it to everyone concerned with this site. A small amount will go a long way.

Yes Mate
If you cut/copy   admin@pocuk.
Then go to your paypal account click on the box that says send money
then paste   admin@pocuk.  then add com
into the box ,add the amount you want to send click the box marked gift
Then send.
Its quick and painless even i managed it this time ,there's no need to join pocuk as i thought previously.
And No one has any fees.
I do not know how to cut and paste a email address thats why I left the com off,When I try it just opens a new window .
I am sure there are other computer thickies that allso cannot. This way worked for me.

As us poor Septics have to deal with the wonderfully rotten exchange rate between  the US Buck and UK Bob, I see PayPal as a nice method.

My complaint is that I'd like a NICE SIZE ITOCUK sticker for my Trooper!  As well as finding a source for reat tail-light guards!

Rich & RedGroo

SEPTICS & THEIR TROOPERS NEED LOVE & FANCY PARTS TOO!
