I have a Vauxhall Monterey 3.2 v6 Ltd which is gas converted.

It has recently started cutting out whilst being driven, no dash lights come on when this happens, I just notice that it has suddenly cut out when the power steering goes. Afterwards it refuses to start, because when you press the key fob the anti-theft & automatic transmission lights wont come on (you can't start it until these have lit).

I usually try locking and unlocking the door to reset the immobilisor and then wait a while before trying to start it again and eventually the key fob lights the anti-theft & auto transmission lights and the thing starts.

Sometimes the lights come on but just as you try to start it they go off and it wont start. Oddly, it also refuses to start as above when we have refilled with either gas or petrol - which is bizarre!

This also seems to happen more when I am getting low on gas but running on petrol - really weird !! - perhaps this is just coincidence...

Have changed the battery in the key fob as an easy starter, but no better. Got no spare fob (yet).

If anyone can help would really appreciate it as getting to the end of my tether with this one....

Just sold an old, reliable 1994 Trooper - wish I'd kept it now... Embarassed

Anybody got any words of wisdom for this good lady?

I have no experience of the V6 petrol so I shan't confuse matters.

I doubt that refuelling has anything to do with it, though.

If it was an older Vauxhall I would suggest the fuel pump relay but, as I say, that might be a stupid suggestion on one of these.

Somebody must know his way around the V6 petrol?

Most LPG conversion rely I believe on the ECU for the LPG turning off the fuel pump and putting LPG in instead.  I would suggest you may have an issue with that so may be worth getting it looked at by an LPG specialist
