Can anyone help me!!  I'm hoping to go and view 3 second hand troopers and came on here to check out whether I should be wary about recall notices.

Going to view a W reg 3.1 Citation, Y reg 3.0TD citation and a 2000 3.0TD Duty

Can someone tell me if there are recall notices on these, or is there something I can do to check if they are liable to explode on me!!  I really like the look of the Troopers, but don't want to feel as if I am treading on thin ice and taking a huge risk.  Confused

Thanks! Smile

I've just put a deposit down on a 2001 3.0td Citation - should I be calling the I.M to see if there is recall work outstanding?  It's a beautiful car and I would hate for it to blow on me - 48.5k miles on the lock and beautifully looked after.

Thanks for any help/advice.  Smile

Have posted further info on the 3.0 recall thread - have put a deposit down on the Y reg 3.0 citation.  Really looking forward to getting it next week.  Very Happy

Hi & Welcome to ITOC  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

To keep things simple I have merged your two threads, this will keep things together and simple for the guys here.

I would get the chassis number and give IM a calll - if there is anything outstanding they willbe able to talk you thru booking it in etc. Be sure to ask them about the history (if any) and if all the recalls are done you will have a cracking motor ... the 3.0 is sooo powerful  Twisted Evil

Thanks for the welcome Chris  Cool My new Trooper has only had one owner, so fingers crossed any remedial work will have been carried out and I can just get on and enjoy driving. Smile
