Checked for washer last night and it has a very very thin alloy one. I have read manual about bleeding so all I have to do is tighten bolt as the pump is pushed down or released? if I find a pipe on tank letting air in whats best method of doing pipes? |

Have you fitted some clear pipe between inlet pipe on flter and the pipe from tank to check for bubbles, only need 10" of pipe & take about 10 mins to do.
If it is the tank then you will either need a new one, take to a specialist for repair or you can bodge it (what we did) by wrapping some plastic metal or similar around the hole _________________ 2011 3.0l Hilux Invincible

Trucks only done 67K and had good service history? How is oil getting to filter? Which sleeves do you mean, valve/injector? Does this mean the fuel tank has oil in it or is it just back feeding? Only had truck 4 months so now extremly unhappy. |

the injectors sit in sleeves in the head and the fuel line runs down the centre of the head, where it passes from head to sleeve there is an o ring which tends to perish it normally lets the diesel into the oil but it can go the other way. get it to a dealer and see if it had the recall for the sleeves |

Thanks for info. I have looked at injector assembly drawing and understand what you mean. Probably the top 'o'ring perished and not bottom. Have started to ring around to try and find if work has been done but so far not too much help comming. Thanks again for help |

Finally got info from IM. Spoke to extremly helpfull guy.Injectors changed March 07 at 55k but there was nothing said about 'O' rings. He seems to think maybe they were not done, surely injectors come in a set with all seals etc. I have spoken to Isuzu garage in Colchester and they are going to have a look and let me know if its injectors, if so I think it may get done free. Just wandering if other people have had black diesel in filter as all threads I have read the diesel seems to go into sump! Is there any other possibilty, say oil getting in through high pressure pump? wife is worried that it's something else and I could end up paying for a strip down to find injectors ok! Just trying to cover all options. |

you get all the seals for the injectors but none for the sleeves as unless you take them out you don't disturb them when doing injectors |

Sorry, do you mean you had black diesel in filter but fitted new oil sensor? Does the picture of the injector in manual show it fitted in a sleeve? I can see an upper and lower 'O'ring above and below fuel inlet, are these on the sleeve? and does the injector only have 1off 'O' ring? Sorry for all the questions but I have no spare money to pay for repairs so if it is something I can do I will have to. |
