I have had a quote today of a 2.8 modified MU, listing all the mods, I have no no claims ( had an own fault crash last year)  a 3 point sp30 in January. They came back with £150 tpf&t or £195 fully comp. including offroad/greenlaning cover.

Wow, I've just got similar cover on a 2.8 Frontera toy, though with a clean licence, £180, I thought that reasonable!

I'm more of a stalker than a talker!
I've been using the forum to get my 3ltr swb 1999 Trooper up to scratch. There is so much info on site there is not a lot of need to post much if you have a good look around. I have even given links to my local garage to help sort things out.

I have decided not to bash that up so I have been looking for a plaything.

I am picking up Chris's MU (dxmedia) tomorrow as long as the trains run and he has no objections to selling to a soft southerner. I have phoned the insurance company three times to go through the mods and check the cover. I have paid up as it seems okay but will only be happy when the paperwork is in my hand.

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" ...

Check the paperwork VERY carefully Andy - in particular with regard to any 'special conditions' (eg highly restricted mileage, etc), any special restrictions, (eg SD&P only, excluding to-and-from work, etc) and any 'voluntary claims excess'... you might not intend to claim, but the last thing you need is (say) a couple of grand bill from a third party to cover your excess in the event of a third-party payout from your insurance Rolling Eyes

It may be absolutely genuine ... in which case, maybe I need to speak to them and see if they can do a 'Club deal' dontknow
