hi all -- well i,ve gotten used to my 3.0 l trooper a bit more now , the way she runs starts , feels etc .
BUT
now the mornings have been a bit colder i,ve noticed a few running problems , the engine will start ok - ish but its taking a few more cranks to fire up and when she does theres a lot of blue smoke ( temporaly ), also the " check engine " light flickers on and off while i,m driving  and the motor runs really lumpey while its doing this and will hardley pull. when the engine check light stops flickering it runs fine
when the engines warmer it runs fine again .

any ideas whats going on ???

thanks again

i think it needs to go on a tech2 really it could be the rail pressure sensor playing up but a tech2 should confirm it

yep feels like its missing ( like a petrol car not firing on all cylinders), not pulling and feels worse when i put pressure on the throttle , but will tick over fine , again fine when warm .

i let it warm up yesterday before setting out for 10 mins ( timed ) on the drive, it smoked a lot on start up again but once it was clear engine evened out and it was fine for the day.
bit rattly to pull off but smoothed out as it got warmer.

do you think the smoke as any significance ie fuel , oil or water

thanks again ,
