I have had my Monterey 3.1td for 3 years and ever since I have owned it, it starts first time everytime but the idle speed is low ( around 500 revs ) until the engine warms up...does this vehicle have any form of cold start device which is designed to apply engine revs when cold..Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Yup, its the dial knob with the choke piccy on it, or turn the heater on full and that ups the revs.

I have been using both methods but honestly thought that the knob was a hand throttle for extra revs if running a winch or something..previous diesels that I have had seem to have had some sort of device which automatically upped the engine revs when cold and dropped them down again when warm...thanks for your help it is much appreciated
Cheers
