Been having probs for weeks with starting,Somtimes first time next time winding for ages starts lumpy no throttel responce and gradualy builds up then ok.
Finaly would not start at all.  Got rescue out for car and caravan to get home. They tested and tryed evreything but no go.I rang a few garages, sorry main dealer only was their reply.Searched through forums and found one that said remove white wire from injector loom to check rail preasure switch.
I found the conector and pulled it apart,it was completly soaked in engine oil as it is next to the oil filler. I cleaned the conector with white spirit inside and out. Connected plug back together started first time and running great again .
I posted this because i was having quotes for, It must be imobolizer,Fuel pump, injectors, ecu. I hope this will help some with simular probs,I was lucky  .

i regularly clean the plug on mine, around every 2weeks, surprising how much difference it makes, i always use wd40 on mine as its what ive usually got in the boot, the only way to cure it is a new injector loom  Shocked,
mine will start within 3 seconds, even on a very cold morning

just been and checked mine and its the same - full of oil!

ive cleaned it out with electrical contact spray and ill see how it goes - never had non start problems yet but it does take time to start - ill see how it goes.

is this oil transmitted down the loom from the engine somewhere?

Do you have a picture of this connector to cleaned? Rolling Eyes

I have a engine cut problem in my French Trooper, it might help... Confused

Thank you very much. Wink

havent got a pic but its the big multipin connector right next to the dipstick tube, its got pink wires coming from the engine and different coloured wires going in to the loom, its easy to pull apart
