i would just like to rate Tesco for their no hassle service, im paying £280pa for my 94 bighorn, only stipulation is alarm/immobiliser. I recentley shunted into the back of a Toyota Rav4, luckily my a bar took most of the impact. i gotta replace my bonnet coz the a bar folded in and dented it. I contacted tesco to let them know about the incident and that was the last i heard, they are handling the third party claim with no hassle to me at all.Because of the high excess i opted for it is cheaper for me not to claim but they were right on the ball with recovery and approved repairers should i have required them.
Morale of the story-- get shunted by a trooper and u will definateley no about it, these things are proper 4x4's |

I was with Norwich Union (make me happy) yea right.
Last year it was £575 fully comp for me and her indoors. This year they put it up to £711 I went on the internet to Tesco and got kicked out because it was a Bighorn. I phoned them and they quoted £411 with a Thatcham cat 2. Needless to say the immobilisor gets fitted next week (£99) and I'm now with Tesco.

After the hassle we had with Tescos sorting out a recent claim for a fairly minor car park accident my wife had in her Tesco's insured Cherokee I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. They consistently failed to keep us updated of progress, it took them over seven months to sort the claim out and in the end it came out at 50/50 which we still don't agree with. As an example, they asked us for some information, a month later when I hadn't heard anything I phoned them and was told that it was sat on someones desk and they hadn't read it because "We're short staffed" The service was dreadfull and I had to shout and bawl to get any progress. To use an old adage....You pay peanuts and you get monkeys (or in this case Scousers!) _________________ Phil
