hey, recently bought an isuzu mu here in NZ, ran for a few days but then would not start, have done a few things to diagnose it. Was told to disconnect yellow wire on thermostat housing to see if pump timing was out. bled the filter had a bit of air in it, have yet to bleed the pump though as i just read a post on here that said how .
I also changed the fuel cut of solenoid, this went all well until I went to start it to see if it worked, there was a small electrical crack, like a relay being blown, that came from the solenoid region, have yet to test voltage to solenoid as my multimeter ran out of juice.
have read some things about injectors not firing if not enough oil pressure, but am not sure if this applies to the older model engines
car is a 1992 isusu mu
thanks in advance |

Its an old school engine, all it needs is fuel and power the the solenoid on the pump _________________ |

The crack might just have been the solenoid pulling in . Just have the ign on and touch the wire to the solenoid you will hear it going in .If you have fuel at the injectors when turning the engine over and not air the car will go. |

thanks for the help guys! finally its fixed, ended up taking it in to diesel place.
problem: a short in the wiring from a rusted out bolt on battery bracket causing it to break and slowly wearing through the wiring , i never wouldve found it
happy cause its fixed and can drive it now, sad cause im now poor cause it took them 2 1/2 hours to find problem, and then it was only by luck |
