Does anyone know of any reliable ones, or those elsewhere in the UK who can be trusted to do good mail order?

I got in touch with these people www.breakeryard.com and within a couple of hours I got about 20 replies from breakers all over the UK with their prices delivery charges etc.

Looked very professional although I didn't actually buy from them, I will use them in the future

Here is the confirmation I received from them before they sent out the request:

Morgans!  Yes, the last resting place of my 251K Pug 405, the only car I've driven to a scrapyard.  I'd forgotten about them.

However, I seem to recall a specialist 4x4 breaker in the Loftus/Brotton/Staithes area.

FYI to those of us in the north.

I have found a Breakers in Durham which at this moment has 3 troopersin , or to be more particular 2 monterays and one bighorn,
the montys are LWB one is the petrol V6 i think its a 3.2 if thats right, the other monty and bighorn are 3.1s the engines are removed but i think they still have them in the yard.

the trucks are mostly intact apart from a driver seat i stole lol.

not sure how they to deal with,  typical breakers they like to get as much as they can for everything, but i haggled a bit and they were ok. but thats not a recomendation

its based in Shildon County Durham, which is 4-5 miles from Bishop Auckland.

i have a card for it but im at work at the moment so dont have the name or telephone number but will add them later, if you need to find it they are in an industrial estate off the B6282,  200 yards from a scrap metal yard called International waste metals (this is not the breaker tho there details are Recycling Centre/Hackworth Ind Pk Shildon DL4 1HF)

hope this helps.

mark.
